10th November, 1937.

Dear Mr. Tso,

I am very glad to have your interesting letter

of the 21st October and to know that you are safely home.

You must have had rather a trying time on the last part

of your voyage, but I hope you are none the worse for it.

With regard to the Enfield Pattern 14 rifles

for use by the Chinese Company in the N.R.A. competitions,

the position is that the Far Office have not yet found it

possible to say whether a concession can be made in

respect of sales of the 1914 pattern rifle in aid of

National Rifle Association Affiliated Rifle Companies.

There have been several enquiries from various rifle

clubs in the Colonies, and we are assured that the

possibility of helping them in this way is under

consideration. I have had your letter put on record s0

that your own application in the case of the Chinese

Company may not be overlooked if and when a favourable

decision is reached here.

DR. S.W.TSO, C. B. E.

Yours sincerely,
